“Doing things the right way” doesn’t seem to get anyone anywhere any more. You have someone like your husband who doesn’t break the law , pays his taxes, does EVERYTHING right. & you still get screwed. I really don’t understand our system.

Prayers ! We started the process in 2017 and finally in April we had the appointment and was approved. I am praying for you and your family. We are living in horrible times and unfortunately I don’t think it will get any better until we get a new administration

Yeah it’s a joke, we started in 2016. My husband has done the physical twice, our I-130 has been approved for years and we are still waiting for a final hearing…….. but all we have to do is wait. 🥴

jodi, my heart goes out to you. I can't possibly begin to understand the hardships you're going through right now. I wish I could be there to help you, to raise my voice and fight for you and Rico. I'm still fighting for my divorce, almost two months later, but compared to what you're going through, my stuff is the blink of an eye. I will be praying for your sanity, for you and Rico to have the kind of life you both deserve, and for you and your family's health and safety. 😔 I understand how you feel amiga, I’m upset for you and all of going through this. I’m going on 8 yrs and now have to wait another 4 with my husband in Mexico. So much money spent and still giving to do it the “right way” It’s taking a toll on all of our lives that are going through this. Praying for you guys to get another appointment sooner then later 🙏🫂🫂

My mom waited 21+ years. Finally gets the appointment and it gets held back due to medical exam. Waits the 9 weeks and gets put on administrative process and we sent the documents that were missing then the shut down happened. She’s stuck in Mexico. She’s had to do the medical exam twice..paid twice. Paid lawyers so much money and now we can’t even get an answer but just wait. She’s been there since the end of May. Broke my heart to get on a plane to come back home and leave her. My heart breaks for everyone going through this. 😔 “doing things the right way” and still getting punished for it.

my gawds. When my husband (RIP) applied in 2003 it took 8 months from arrival in the country to green card. Your feelings and a massive crash out is absolutely valid. many hugs. I am so sorry
