@isabelcantomusic: UPDATE: thank you everyone for your help getting Traveloge’s attention. A lovely manager just called me up to reassure me they are on the case. I had an incredibly stressful experience trying to access this @TravelodgeUK as a wheelchair user, and I fear what happened to me will happen to other wheelchair users too if Travelodge don’t make urgent changes. I reached out to them privately, but I’m anxious they may not respond for some time. So please tag them in this video and encourage their immediate attention on this issue. #wheelchairuser #accessibility #disabilityrights
Him acting like you’re the problem for actually needing the accessibility to the accessible room is crazy.

They shouldn’t sell accessible rooms if they’re not … accessible. No matter what “warnings” are on the site.

Whats the point of an accessible room in an inaccessible building?

Hotels shouldn't be able to list a room as accessible unless the entire hotel is accessible

As a hotel manager who had their accessible lift broken for some time, every single accessible room booking we got, we rung and asked if they could use a few stairs or not and then we made sure they had alternative accommodation or refunded them with no charges! 🤦🏼♀️

At the very least the employees should have some kind of empathy - this is unacceptable service

Worthing Travelodge is an absolute shocker. Front runner for the title of worst in the UK. And that’s a low bar …

Is there a shortage of lift repair persons or something? Big companies like this should have had the lift fixed immediately. Same goes for train stations, etc.

it would be so easy to automate an email if someone books the accessible room saying the lift is out of order. this way if someone needs it at least they can call and cancel

As an ambulatory wheelchair user, I very much agree with you with everything you mentioned. But also, as I’m sure you’d appreciate a funny joke, I’m sorry you had to go to Worthing… and on top of that to have this problem 😂

I worked at Marriott and we would call every accessible room if something was out of order to ensure we got them in the correct type of accessible room or canceled their reservation if needed!!!

why do accessibility features always have to be broken UNTIL someone actually needs it? these things should be constantly maintained and repairs should be the top priority. I dont care if it is rarely used, the whole point is that its there WHEN NEEDED
