Weird NoobGuest1 :

Teddy Knight is a realist no more than Hugo is. Naruhaya is arguably the most realistic portrayal of failure of the average/ordinary/poor: Yes the ability to change one's fate and determine our own path in life is what gives us our purpose and agency, but for those underprivileged and untalented despite the efforts and hardship, continue to struggle and inevitably fail. In dozens of stories, dreams and ideals can only be realized through power. And in Blue Lock, that power is ego and talent, one's belief oneself that is undeniable and their desires that constantly push them to improve, adapt, and overcome the challenges of life that is their equivalent to living (Ego), and actually having the ability to actualize those things (Talent). Unfortunately, the talent of the ordinary and average has a limit and hardly gets opportunities like these ever again. For every one Noel Noa/Michael Kaiser who escaped poverty through staking their entire life with football, there are a million Naruhayas who accepted that football isn't for them and didn't have the talent for it.
