This is all lost on me. M4 carbines are not gucci guns and they work just fine if you take care of them. EVERYONE will be better served if the buy a standard quality rifle and a case or two (or three ffs) of ammo to train with vs a $2,800 gucci gun.

Absolutely fantastic concept, however when the initial cost is pushing $3k before an optic, that knocks out most LEO’s. That’s an extremely expensive AR platform from anyone’s perspective.

My department issues rifles. I know not every department issues rifles. Why would I use a $2,000 plus rifle? When I can use a $1,000 BCM that works just as well. Is the extra $1,000 going towards the replacement rifle? I might not even use the rifle. It’s not every case where your rifle is not given back. It’s plotless for a duty rifle to be $2,000 plus. That’s not counting an optic or anything else.

I heard this when I moved to Louisiana. I always said, if it gets taken and it was a god shooting, I’ll get it back. If not, I probably have way more to worry about aside from the rifle. Just gives people a reason to be cheap.

Respect!..when I was a new Deputy, I asked my partner, why you carrying that Vietnam era m-16, he said that what was issued to me, we can carry our own expensive custom rifles as long as you qualify with it, but you shoot someone you lose it to the evidence room...shortly after I asked for an issued rifle.

legit. I'm not a fan of specialty parts like short bcg's or anything else. my reasons are if my tool goes down I should be able to scaveng parts from another service rifle to stay in the fight. don't mistake me, because that company makeup Teir rifles. but for someone that builds for durability and easy parts replacement I'll stay with quality and easy to find replacements.
