I am an African myself, Black African children may be doing well academically in Britain partly because many African migrants came with education and professional advancement as major aspirations. Earlier Caribbean migrants often came primarily for work and to support families back home. These different migration histories may have influenced later generations, rather than the difference simply being about Caribbean culture. Caribbean children studying in the Caribbean may show a very different picture.

I believe it’s cuz the carribean have been hear longer so the white culture when it comes to school has rubbed off on them more while the Africans have the back home mentality of working hard and education being the key

Definitely agree there is a reason why st. Lucian’s have the highest exam results in the Caribbean year in and year out, also having the most noble laureates per capita in the world. The way st. Lucian’s respect education ain’t a joke comparatively to other islands. I went to school both in st. Lucia and the u.k st.Lucian education system is way better. They just have a lack of opportunities
