Yes! Also look into lining your 5 gallon bucket first with a mylar bag, then adding the oxygen absorber into the mylar bag and sealing it. This is better for longer-term storage that you don’t plan on using on a daily basis.

During prayer last year I heard “store food or watch your children starve” so that’s what I’ve been doing. Mylar bags are a great way to store dried goods for up to 25 years

Trying to be helpful… Plastic buckets are slightly porous and can leak air over time. I would highly recommend getting 5 gallon Mylar bags to put your rice in, throw in the OA, seal, and then put it in your bucket for long term storage.

100%! I get so many comments with “trust God, He will provide”. We know what happened to the ones that mocked Noah while he was building the ark. We need to help ourselves first and pray for help where we fall short! Prep for the worst while pray for the best!
