He walked her to a nearby street where he subjected her to a prolonged assault — filming it on his phone throughout. At trial, he claimed he believed she was older and that she had initiated the encounter. The judge said that was obvious nonsense. The prosecutor described his attempts to blame his victim as stomach-churning. After the attack, he left her alone in the dark.
