I can't farm the way my grandfather did because my cousins are farming that land. Also, it's hard to find horse-drawn equipment that hasn't been left to rust in a windbreak.

Umm, notice that they aren’t talking about the extra costs. Feed, gas, veterinary, some climates you need silage, more land required to grow the feed corn and land to let it ferment. I got out of farming over 30 years ago.
