I have a 1500 diesel and it's been in and out of the dealer multiple times and is now getting a new motor these issues are becoming common and the words getting out. I had no choice but to get a 2500 while it was in the dealership for 4 months waiting on a CCV

Only reason why I would buy a GM truck is to get the 3.0, not ideal that diesel is so much these days but it should correct back to normal at some point

Unless you’re towing 15000+ pounds or at high altitudes, the L8T 6.6 gas is more than sufficient for the HD’s. Duramax is cool but only makes sense if you’re towing alot or at altitude. Why pay $12k for the option + DEF + $3 a liter if you don’t need to? Tow 10000 pounds with my gasser no sweat.

As long as oil flows from the GCC remain disrupted through the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, expect continued upward pressure on diesel prices. North American diesel inventories will increasingly compete with global demand, especially as international buyers look for replacement supply

Ukraine is taking out diesel refineries in Russia. Russia is the 2nd largest exporter of diesel in the world. Us is fighting a war on Israel’s behalf which does not help. Sucks
