How else are you supposed to test the hydraulics without an equivalent weighted object to a an extremely expensive aircraft? The next time it launches it will have people in it. But I’m also one of the lucky few that got to watch the planes launched all the time for years. And also unlucky because I had to sleep below the catapult and it sounds like a bomb exploding when it’s used.
