your rental was based on if u can hv access to other parts of unit. in view of new partition, new tenant, u are now deprived of use of part of unit. this can legitimate ground to reduce rent. this may affect your r/s w landlord. be prepared to terminate TA, forfeit deposit, moving new room

If you can, leave. Singapore landlords are absolutely the worst. Shocking. The best thing in Singapore is when you plan to leave stop paying rent. They have a deposit (which you’ll never get back). Then they have to chase you or use the deposit for the rent. Don’t take this sh!t.

Check your contract T&C. U have right to terminate contract without notice and penalty. Talk to landlord and stop paying any more rents.
