@thegreatschema1: Actor Jonathan Jackson Thanks the Monks of Mount Athos at the Emmy Awards (2012) ☦️ American actor and musician Jonathan Jackson surprised and moved the public when, while accepting the Daytime Emmy Award in 2012 for his role in General Hospital, he began his speech by making the sign of the Cross and thanking the Holy Trinity. He ended his speech with the words: “Thank you to the monks of Mount Athos who are praying constantly for the salvation of the world.” That same year, Jackson converted to the Orthodox faith. He later personally took the golden Emmy statuette and presented it as a gift to Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos. ☦️🙏 #Orthodox #OrthodoxChristian #MountAthos #Orthodoxy #JesusChrist
