I strongly disagree with this theory. In one of the yt devlog videos the devs even say "people will think semibots are human" implying that isn't the actual lore. Semi-bot likely comes from the fact that we are such an advanced AI we are only Semi robotic. Even more likely is that the name is a pun off the studio Semi-work. I feel that the cosmetics reveal this a bit. There's some that show our insides and we find no soul. When we die, we don't drop a soul like all other living things. We can be revived, which makes no sense if the bot needs a soul. And no, just because we have "2 voices" doesn't mean anything. The canon voice is the text to speech and our player voice is just gameplay functionality. Why would we have 2 at all if this theory was true, anyway? It wouldn't make sense.

i headcannon that they we're a rich program that makes rich people live forever in those inside things but the "taxman" is the returning small group who beat the original company and now control the rich people (thats why they left the museum, they took control and now live in the capatlistic company)
