Side note, for those who didn't piece it together. The scene where Zoe looks at John through the scope wasn't some emotional moment between doomed lovers, it was her attempting to manipulate the feelings she attempted to instill in John so he wouldn't take the shot and him taking the shot anyway is symbolic of him choosing not to be manipulated anymore. I've seen too many people point to that scene as some example of how she actually was people.

this fandom I swear. the show is like Lucy with a football and some of these Charlie Brown folks keep going for the kick. show presents "fact". fans buy it and discuss ad nauseam. show then shows "fact" was actually not at all what it seemed. fans freak out. rinse and repeat. at this point I trust nothing we've been told or shown I'm waiting for the other shoe to be a manhunter or something

If the Lanterns weren't there then she'd have used the town to keep Antaan away from her regardless. The only reason she went at the town herself was Hal being there as the Superhero

Wasn’t Antaans original plan just to… blow up the entire town before the Lanterns intervened? Their investigation caused Zoe to start bombing the town but without the investigation everything and everyone would have been decimated
