Columbus is building apartments everywhere, bringing in thousands more people and cars, but our transportation infrastructure isn't expanding at the same pace. The city authorized 9,100 housing units in 2025 alone, a 50% increase from 2024, and is planning for 200,000 more units over the next decade. Meanwhile, public transportation hasn't expanded AT ALL to give people a real alternative to driving. They keep adding more people to the system without adding enough ways to move them through it. A crowded stadium doesn't become safer by adding more people without adding exits. At some point, you have to wonder what happens when everyone needs to get out at once and there simply aren't enough ways out. That's when this stops being just a traffic problem…
