People saying they would go to raccoon city have no idea how easy and survivable silent hill is if you know how it works. Basically silent hill is reflection of your psyche : it takes your trauma , insecurities , fears and guilt and manifests it as monsters and deadly puzzles , becoming your own personal hell. However silent hill is not inherently evil , but rather a neutral mirror that simply reflects what your mind projects. Meaning that if you have the willpower to face all the negatives in your subconscious you can easily conquer silent hill and make it manifest positive things.

People forget that Silent Hill is hell personified from your own mind, meaning that it’s hell specifically for you. Everyone’s version is different.
