@theweewitch: Wee Witch Wanders! This morning I sat by the water at 📍Reekie Linn, Glen Isla, Angus, Scotland. I actually explored this place properly the night before and it was so beautiful. The moon was shining bright and the sky was pink before the darkness took over. Special place…with a cool story! There’s a dark wee cave beneath Reekie Linn called the Black Dub… and it has a rather sinister story attached to it. According to legend, the local laird was hiding here in the dark cave after killing a man. In the darkness he was confronted by the Devil - who appeared to him in the form of a huge black dog. The encounter frightened him so badly that the following day, he gave himself up. Reekie Linn is a spectacular waterfall on the River Isla in Glen Isla, Angus. When the river is high, the water crashes through the gorge in a huge cloud of spray - which feels like a pretty fitting setting for a story about the Devil appearing from the darkness lol Have you been here?
