@drdavidabbasi: "Med school would be fun," they said😅🩺 What you're watching is students prepping for what's called an OSCE, an Observed Structured Clinical Examination. Instead of a written test, students are evaluated in real time on simulated patient encounters, communication, physical exams, clinical reasoning, all under direct observation, often with actors playing the patients. Back when I was in school, we had something similar, we just didn't have a fancy acronym for it. We called them "practice patients," and they were honestly some of the most nerve wracking exams of the entire program. Reciting facts on paper is one thing, performing under pressure in front of an examiner while a "patient" is watching your every move is a completely different kind of stress.
