You don’t have to constantly watch every word, put on a show of being the "perfect" version of yourself, or fear being mocked for your quirks. You can be: * tired; * funny; * quiet; * irritated; * enthusiastic; * silly; * insecure. A loving person doesn’t necessarily approve of every action, but they try to understand the person themselves, rather than just judging the deed. 2. They provide a sense of safety Safety isn't just about physical protection; it’s also an emotional feeling. You know you can say: "I’m having a hard time right now." And you won't be met with mockery or dismissal. In a healthy relationship, you shouldn't constantly be wondering: "What if they get angry?" "What if they stop loving me?" "What if I say the wrong thing?" Love can be intense and emotional, but living in constant fear of your partner is something else entirely. ⸻ 🫂 3. They stay by your side, not just during the good times It’s easy to love someone when they’re attractive, cheerful, successful, and everything is going right for them.
