See, Ik everyone hates John, but I can’t help but feel sorry for him (not entirely, just, I feel bad for him. He lost his wife, and unfortunately, his way of grieving was extremely unhealthy.) but also, I feel terrible for Sam and Dean, because they not only lost their mother, they lost their dad. Their father was either absent or abusive. And I hate to say this, I think when Dean went to hell (and slightly before it), he started becoming his father. Constantly shutting people out, never talking about hell, and always getting angry, or occasionally throwing punches at Sam. And it’s not fair, but it’s also not..unexpected. I mean, tbf, Dean was always the one to kneel at John’s feet, and it’s not unusual to slowly become the abuser. For Dean’s sake, I hope he can be better than John. I hope somebody calls him out, and he pulls himself out of the awful cycle.
