It call work ethic. A off grid farmer or homesteader is a very hardworking person. A self employed person is a hard worker. Vs the person that depends on a government subsidy and demands more taxes on the working class family so they can have steaks 4 nights a week is not

Exactly a job doesn't mean shit. Just apply for a loan and if you don't meet the other requirements like a credit history ( even though you paid rent on time every for years) you won't get the loan.

I worked traditional type of jobs most of my life. 20 years out of 60+ on the earth was spent in the military. What did I learn: Wealth depends on thought process. Wealth of wisdom & wealth of money are two types. You can make a lot & be miserable and you can make just enough & be happy. Value comes in many ways. Don't judge it.

As long as they aren’t living of the state if they are fully capable of working. IMO you should do life your own way. It’s personal preference as long as you are sucking the teat of Human Resources if you are fully capable of working. Live and let live.

Sounds like you’re describing personal responsibility. You’re saying out loud that choosing willingly to not work to fulfill the needs of the responsibilities you’ve created is normal. That’s literally the definition of irresponsibility, the net taxpayer isn’t responsible for paying for your decisions… It’s definitely a character trait!
