when I was a teacher I refused to use any florescent lights. I spent a lot of money buying lamps and lights that worked with my phone so that we never had overhead lights. I could change the colors and dim/brighten it. I also had flexible seating in the classroom and we hardly sat down. my classroom was nature themed using real sticks and leaves and plants from outside to showcase student work and create a serene environment. I knew I was doing it all for a reason and that I liked it better like that, but now I truly understand. I didn't want myself or my kids to have to be "wired" it's all making sense bc I wasnt super liked by other teachers because of my different ideas, I didnt teach traditionally. interestingly enough I got the best scores in the school and other kids were sent to me daily to use my room as a "calm down" room.... hmmmmm

Also, this has been on my mind lately, but the fact that our homes is kind of like a box shape like is it safety or is this confinement like when you go outside and you look up the space is so expansive like our minds and that’s how it’s supposed to be. I wonder if living in these box shaped homes keep the mind and confinement. Because why do we get so depressed being endorsed too long Covid forced everybody to stay indoors and it fucked people up

I have lived in a forest for 30yrs in an unconventional house,I watch all these type of posts and feel so blessed I realized early in life that nature was where I belonged plus it hasn't been easy,if your young get a creative plan and u can bypass the conventional type of life,also never believed america was the dream
