As someone (in their 20’s🤪) who doesn’t feel comfortable in the slightest with coming out to my mainly Christian family (biggg family on both sides that I see regularly) that last one is important. At 1st the thought “I don’t HAVE to come out, they’ll see when they see, & if they don’t they don’t” was a way to survive the feeling of not being able to be myself even though I love them, but it really has become a motto to me. Bc indeed, why do I need to make a moment of it? Why does being who I am, require a charged confessional moment? Thank you for the validation Amber!
