They are getting more strict with areas like Shibuya. I think its illegal to drink publicly starting at 6 pm

How strict are they in the US about actually enforcing these laws? We've the same laws here but police essentially don't care if you're handling it nicely. Be a nuisance or way too drunk though, and they'll come at ya.

I’ll never forget when I got drunk in Japan and thought it’d be a good idea to dump a strong zero into a flimsy water bottle to hide that I was drinking bc I didn’t wanna get looked at funny. So here I was thinking I was slick, opening my water bottle in the station, and I stg that shit popped and made the loudest noise and everyone was staring. I was literally so embarrassed
