I’ve said several times if a draft happens today the best thing to do is to go sign up immediately. I served in the infantry, so I’d be ok to go do it again but the point is, you’d get to pick verses getting assigned

What he’s saying makes total sense because in times of war, whether you want to or not, you will be forced to fight without your permission, and the majority of people will be sent to the front lines. Whereas if you choose to enlist, you will have a choice. And in times of war, only children from wealthy families will have that choice.
