Remember when that Black girl Arianna said free Palestine and got fired from Burger King. What did they do? They painted a mural of her and lauded her as a hero. This was just a few weeks back in the middle of their genocide. If that’s being antiblack, America is at a place of loathing because they literally immediately destroyed Black murals all over the country.

There’s a big difference between Palestinian communities in Palestine vs in the diaspora. You know me, I’ve committed my entire life to Palestinian resistance AND ALSO I have never been in a Palestinian space here on Turtle Island that was not anti-Black. And I think a lot of us are completely drained by this.

I’m not an expert on the whole history but the videos I saw seemed to be based on names of places that were based on stuff that happened far into the past but the videos acted like it was happening in the present in Palestine.

That said… I don’t think it’s appropriate to tell Black people how to handle anti Blackness… there’s a lot of paternalism here in your approach… and I’m disappointed to see it my love. That said… as the granddaughter of two Black Panthers… we KNOW that the oppression is connected…. But most POC act as if it is not… and center everyone BUT us in every situation. Arabs r inherently anti blackness. It's ingrained in culture and lifestyle. I used to live in arab countries as Black African and got traumatized. The only time arabs will consider blacks is when it gets tough on them. There r many arab countries committing crimes against africans like enslavement in Libya, Mauritania. Egyptians torturing sudanese and departing them. Algerians, Tunisians r torturing n r×ping african migrants there's no single arab counties talking and condemning these actions. But they wanna consider black americans to support Palestinian course because blk americans r more influencial while they r torturing africans in their arab countries

I've been seeing this political strategy a lot where liberals use black people to say so and so progressive movement/ideology is somehow racist to black people and it annoys me to no end, and it sucks because the black community really does have progressive values but those values have been watered down and bastardized into something else

As an afro latina, 1) People bringing this up always forget the existence of Black Palestinians 2) It's not that I dont think Palestinians can be racist, I just feel that its irrelevant when talking abt their literal GENOCIDE that we inherently CONTRIBUTE TO as Americans. regardless of us being Black 3) as someone who has been involved in community work and activism since i was a teen, other Black people I organize almost always know the history of movements (including Palestinian liberation in the US) being connected and organizing together. And I just gotta say that most people I see talking about Palestinians as if their genocide is irrelevant bc of antiblackness are not usually the ones actually putting an effort outside online discourse for our OWN liberation, let alone for the liberation of others that we are inherently are contributing to with our tax dollars. I have an aunt that brought up this same talking point, that she had an experience with Palestinians in the US where they were racist to her, yet that was the same conversation she was basically arguing that ppl can't be activists involved with their community while also devoting time to themselves / their own lives. Its hardly ever the same ppl invested in community trying to bring up that talking point
