It takes courage to tell people that you were scammed, so well done for informing people. I was scammed many years ago, long story but cost me a lot of money, time and effort sorting it all out. I felt too stupid to tell my friends and family then, but I would now as the more we speak about it, the better.

You’re not stupid many people are getting done ,( even the most‘savvy people!) They set up different accounts and say that they represent your bank and someone else is trying to take money from your bank so you need to transfer money from your accounts and they’ll send it back straight away ! N then they close said account and your money is gone !

That’s awful, but the big red flag should’ve been they would’ve had your bank account details to send you the money back and you shouldn’t have had to set up some offering third-party link to get it that is a big RED FLAG

That is why you use a savings accounts with specifically only £10 in it and no overdraft facilities. This account should be only used for refunds or small purchase
