@c5news: Martha’s Rule is being rolled out to every hospital emergency department in England to help patients and families challenge staff and the care provided. It's after campaigning by the family of 13-year-old Martha Mills, who died of sepsis in 2021. They felt their concerns were ignored by medical staff. Under the change, patients, loved ones and staff in A&E units will be able to call a dedicated phone number to trigger an urgent review. The expansion should be complete by March 2028.
