@saltsugarandstories: Yesterday I opened a package and something inside was broken, and I said, “Kenny can fix it.” And of course, he did. ❤️ The comments were full of people talking about Kenny and how he seems to be able to fix just about anything, and so many of you asked me again how we met. In my everyday life, I call Kenny my finder and my fixer because there’s just about nothing that man can’t find or fix for me. And when I really think about it, I guess that includes my life. He met me with a life that had been broken in a whole lot of places, and somehow, just by being Kenny, he helped make it into something wonderful. Our life together hasn’t been perfect. We’ve had hard times, disagreements, struggles and all the things that come with spending a lifetime with another human being. But at the same time, somehow, it has been perfect. I don’t know another way to say it. ❤️ And the funny thing is, our lives crossed about eight years before we ever actually met. We were once in the same room, living completely separate lives, with no idea that one day those two lives would come together and we would build this whole life together. So this morning, I’m telling y’all our story. ❤️ And to the ladies who tell me they’ve already had to say goodbye to the love of their life, please know I think about you when I share things like this. I cannot imagine what it must be like to spend a lifetime loving someone and then have to continue this life without them. I’m so thankful we have the hope that goodbye here is not goodbye forever.
