Bulgaria edit 🇧🇬⚜️ Happy Independence day!! || The history of Bulgaria begins with the First Bulgarian Empire, founded in 681 under Khan Asparuh. Bulgaria became a major power in the Balkans, especially under Krum and Simeon I, whose reign saw a huge expansion of the empire and a flourishing of culture and literature. In 864, Boris I adopted Christianity, helping shape Bulgaria's cultural identity. After the First Empire fell to Byzantium in 1018, Bulgarian resistance eventually led to the creation of the Second Bulgarian Empire in 1185 by brothers Asen and Peter. Under Ivan Asen II, Bulgaria reached another height of power and influence in the Balkans. The Second Bulgarian Empire gradually weakened, and the Ottoman conquest brought the medieval Bulgarian state to an end in 1396. Bulgarian lands remained under Ottoman rule for centuries, while Bulgarian cultural and religious traditions continued. The April Uprising of 1876 and the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878 led to the restoration of Bulgarian statehood. The Principality of Bulgaria was established in 1878, and Bulgaria declared full independence in 1908. Bulgaria fought in the Balkan Wars, World War I, and World War II. After WWII, it became a communist state. In 1989, communist rule ended, and Bulgaria transitioned to democracy. It joined NATO in 2004 and the European Union in 2007. #Bulgaria #Historytok #Edit #FYP #Europe @🇭🇺Zsombordahun🇪🇺 @Edward Gierek⚛️🚩 @𝙱𝚎𝚕𝚊🇭🇺 @🇦🇱Albanian_mapper🇪🇺 @𝓐𝓵𝓫𝓪𝓷𝓲𝓪𝓷𝓟𝓪𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓸𝓽 @𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐬 || 🇭🇺 ☨ @⚔️𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓻𝓾𝓼𝓲𝓪𝓷🌲 @☭⃠Dihlover_Geo🇧🇬🇪🇺 @ThatCzechGuy 🇨🇿 @Saady | سعدي 🇸🇦🌴 @7fhry_ @🇭🇺𝕶𝖗𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖑𝖎𝖝🇭🇺 @🇵🇱Ózd geo🇭🇺✝️ @🗻☦️𝕸𝖆𝖟𝖓𝖆.𝕲𝖊𝖔🇧🇬🗺️ @🇧🇬☦𝔗𝔥𝔯𝔞𝔵☧🇲🇰 @⚛️🇧🇬𝔐𝔲𝔗𝔨𝔬.
