This was how I survived and I became the founder of one of the fast growing food processing companies in Nigeria today 1. I began intensive saving a year before my resignation to take care of all my bills for 6 months after my exit. 2. I focused on one business but I later added more streams of income when I had stabilised the primary business- Abebi Foods Limited. 3. Add more products or build multiple income streams when you had already stabilised the first one, becasue one business alone may not sustain you in the long run. 4. Network aggressively - Your next opportunity may come from one conversation. I took networking very seriously 5. Stay visible online - I carried my business everywhere I go verbally and sometimes physically. Make noise about what you sell or what you represent. Many businesses die in silence. A good product without visibility will struggle to survive. 6. Be mentally prepared - Entrepreneurship tests your patience, confidence, and consistency. Sometimes you get frustrated especially when you are not seeing the figures. But consistency changes everything. The people you admire today also had moments of doubt. Do not quit too early. Your business may still be one strategy away from breakthrough.
