Middle school was just as bad. They aren't as little, but they are the little ones again, in a school full of older kids that aren't nice. And most of the time, it's different elementary schools all merging into one middle school so it's also kids he doesn't know.

Ok… I just have to say that 31 years ago when I dropped off our first of four I was doing cartwheels!! He was definitely the hardest of four. lol. Now he’s got 2 of his own and he gets to do cartwheels now🤣🤣 you are just a great dad! Just enjoy it all cuz pretty soon you’ll blink and they will be 36!! By the way he turned out awesome! I sure enjoy you tick ticks even if I’m old enough to be your momma.lol

Mama of 6 here. Currently have one in Pre K (he’s 5 but just at the cut off that he isn’t able to be in kindergarten) &for some reason he’s my hardest one to leave. I’m still a wreck and the tears still come. But I’m also excited for him. That’s your baby, take your time [Twin hearts]

Mom of an 11, 6 and 4. It is all a bittersweet feeling, no matter the age. It is a physical, big representation of how fast time flies by and how soon they will be grown. I BAWLED when we dropped my youngest off for his first day. Not because I was more sad than our older 2 but because this was the last first day of preschool I would have for any of my kids which means life is changing but my gosh, seeing them grow and thrive is AMAZING.

Dropped off my youngest for his first day of school. It was only three hours. Mom held it together. She did good.

I only cried when they started kindergarten but other than that I only cry when I see them perform and achieve things without me like wow that’s my baby

My daughter is in 3rd grade and drop off is easier, but you still miss them a little throughout the day 🥰🥰🥰
