The panic and desperation really caught me off guard during this scene. It happens very quickly but up until that point, Hal is usually a cool cucumber or an asshole.

I wish this was 10 or 12 episodes. So many theories, and different directions for the story but it’s still on track. Noah definitely killed Hal, that slick back screams bad guy. Sad it’s almost over

I just don’t think Hal would have ACTUALLY spent 10 years in prison. There’s also something deeper to Rushville other than a little ole Manhunter. Abin Sur crashed there on purpose. Think about it. Hal’s hologram telling JOHN, not HAL, that “there’s hail in Rushville” for John to tell Hal, is a little suspicious. I personally think he’s been living in that box in the storage unit. I kind of think John is in on Hal’s plan now too.

Hal egged John on to punch him. So either he thought Kohn wouldn’t do that or got carried away and then realized he screwed up his own plan. Still a great scene, I remember raising my eyebrow when Hal said John.

I think Lianna used Bernadette to check on Hal. The Guardians are aware Hal is on to something and they need someone indirectly looking into Hal. Guy snitched and the Guardians "let" him send the ring.

I mean, we saw Hal on episode 1 getting his ass handed to him on purpose by the bar's townsfolk so was sent to jail and be able to question the alien. of course this time he'd up the ante and get himself killed, in the knowledge that he left his ring and safe box behind for John to do what he does best: get to the bottom of whatever Hal is up to. by the way, can we stop pretending we don't know Halogram is gonna merge with Hal's body using the manhunter's machine so bad Hal will be good Hal again?

I think he started to make this plan THE MOMENT HE MET GUY GARDNER. He realized Guy cannot be the 1 protector as well as figuring out the guardians are frauds. He’s always knew deep down John will be great, and now he knows John HAS to be a lantern as he is the only one with a backbone to stand for what’s right

I think it just about the fact that Hal knows he’s about to be killed and he didn’t want anyone to know John was there because if someone knew he was there, they would immediately suspect John of killing Hal since Hal was just murdered like an hour after John left
