Let's first focus on how high rent is in Lancaster county where is a cap for this? second food cost gas cost medical cost? these ppl not all are on drugs but lots are. Mental health is our biggest problem today I believe and we need to get more help for these issues as well. Honestly feel bad. Lancaster is impossibly expensive. I work 60 hour weeks and live in a single wide with a 10 year old truck. Still just hardly getting by.

Where the hell do they want these ppl to go?? All shelters are at the max capacity with so many coming from Philadelphia, etc for housing. They are not fixing this issue at all. You pushed them from downtown area and they are going to keep moving around and camping out somewhere else. It will continue to be everyone’s issue.

I live in Berks and shelters are at capacity. They made a safe parking lot for people with vehicles in Reading. I am wondering if Lancaster shelters are at capacity as well. There isn’t enough help. We need shelters where you have a caseworker to get the ball rolling, find employment, and then affordable housing so people can get on their feet.

Maybe if everything especially housing in PA wasn’t so dam expensive. Alot of older worn down looking homes inside and out wanting big rent$$$. Then needless to say owned by real estate companies and they ask for perfect credit triple deposit. Wth how does one even get a break to get a start.
