Alexis & Charlotte- IVF & Loss :
I had the surgical management of miscarriage (D&C) after our first loss, and it was very straightforward. It’s heartbreaking to know that you are going to have a very wanted IVF pregnancy removed, but for me it enabled me to start to grieve properly after that. Sending hugs x

So sorry for your loss it's devastating 😭 I don't think the meds could have prevented this type of MC as it wasn't spontaneous bleeding and more that the development had stopped. When that happens it's a genetic or developmental issue 💔💔. Obviously that shouldn't have happened with your meds in any case but it might be comforting to think it didn't happen because of something that anyone did. I've had missed miscarriage treatment twice and although it was hard I felt I could properly grieve and move on after. Sending love xx

Both myself and my daughter didn’t start the injections/pessaries and aspirin until 6 weeks after we’d had the first scan. I had 2 miscarriages ( I had 1 child and went onto have 2 more after miscarriages) my daughter had 2 ectopics, 2 miscarriages ( 1 was 12 week old twins that died a day or two prior to 12 week scan) her next pregnancy they gave her the drugs and she’s now has a 2 yr old.

I was the same, went in just with that glimmer of hope.. it breaks your heart! You did chose the best option babe the medical option isn’t nice at all, it’s best to get it over and start your healing. It’s so horrible I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sending so much love ❤️

I think you’re going through a grieving process, but I would certainly take this further because it sounds like your fertility clinic fault in some capacity. I wouldn’t let a lie I’d ask and ask and ask to get to the bottom of what you need to know X

live in the Netherlands myself, and a lot went wrong for me there too—they’ll never admit to making mistakes! And they’ll never give you a free round; that costs money. It’s just absolutely terrible.

Just a little advice here from my experience… plan to have Astoria looked after for when you are discharged following your procedure, it is a really sad and physically challenging situation and let yourself grieve your loss too, sending strength and support to you all 💜

I’ve had 4 miscarriages now, I asked for a d&c and I was refused I also asked for a scraping of my womb and I was also refused I was therefore discharged from the fertility clinic even tho I’m a staff member in this hospital, so disheartening & just brushed off because I’m only 25, my last miscarriage was in June I was 8w4days and I was told ye it’s another miscarriage no follow up no nothing I feel like I have been failed from my fellow colleagues and also the heath service in Ireland, sending you so much love to get through this difficult time and I pray you get your miracle 🌈👣👶🏼🍼❤️

Honestly lovely, I’d take this further!!!!It is crazy how it works, I was the same as you thinking it works or it doesn’t. Our first round only half of it stuck so we got postivies then went to not pregnant over space of a few days. Then 2nd time we experienced the same thing as you/ we was suppose to be 9+5 but heart stopped at 8+4. It’s such a draining experience. Sending all my love. Babe I did this procedure in theatre and can assure u that the embryo will be sensitively disposed of it’s bless by a Chaplin and then cremated x they are treated like u would love to think of that they mean something xx

Sometimes they stop growing because there’s something wrong ♥️. I had two experiences of this. I got answers for mine. It was so hard at the time but having answers helped a little bit. X
