you can over draft on a debit card if you charge it as credit and some times using third party transaction methods like apple ive done it with PayPal once they charge it to themselves then withdraw from your card after... PayPal takes a full day before they charge my card when I use em

that means you don't have locks on your account so contact your bank alert them to draft protection not being activated it won't solve your problem but it will prevent it in the future
