@thepastbroughttolife: On 18 October 1940, seven Royal Engineers lost their lives while attempting to defuse an unexploded German bomb in Coventry. Their job was to go towards the bombs that everyone else had been told to stay away from. All seven were killed and today they lie buried together in Coventry a permanent reminder of the extraordinary dangers faced by the bomb disposal teams during the Blitz. Seven men. One grave. A sacrifice that should never be forgotten. #historytok #blitz #ww2 #rememberance #lestweforget
