What does which would you rather not have burn alive mean though? Is it better to be murdered as a fetus than a baby? Sure ok. But if I was to ask would you rather have HIV or stage 4 cancer, if you answer HIV it doesn’t mean you want HIV or that it isn’t bad. It doesn’t seem applicable to elective abortion

If pro-life people like Lila Rose truly believe all human life ranging from a fertilized egg to an elderly person are equal in value, then they would save all the fertilized eggs over a single individual baby. The fact that they chose the single individual baby goes against their stated standards.

Creating an ad absurdum to gotcha people into chosing a newborn over fertilized eggs, doesn't address the fundamental anti abortion claim that all human life has inherent value regardless of the stage. You are just proving the potential existence of an intersubjective preference for one stage over the other.

Funny thing about pro-deathers using the trolley problem in their argument is that they acknowledge that the choice is power over life and death given the scenario, but they fail to acknowledge the false equivalency as with the trolley problem there's an either or both resulting in death. Whereas with the abortion issue, its a choice between death of a child and..........+1 life? A more accurate "trolley problem" equivalent then would be, you could leave the train where its headed and save a life by creating one or redirect it and personally kill someone.

I don't see why they're so obsessed with this trolley problem scenario. It has no bearing on whether the fetus is a human person or not or has moral value, so it's not relevant to the ethics of abortion. Kyla seems to think that if you save the baby instead that the fetus that this concedes that fetuses don't have moral worth and therefore justiable abortions are entailed.
