@the.jessicacarter: Many years ago, someone came up to me at church and told me, “You’re going to be a speaker one day.” That’s all they said, I don’t remember who it was or why, but I’ve held onto those words for years. Bc there have always been dreams tucked away in the back of my mind and heart of speaking on stages one day...of using my voice to encourage people, share what God has taught me, and hopefully make a huge impact. I just didn’t necessarily expect it to start like this and on Instagram 😂 Sitting in my house, setting up my phone, pressing record, and yapping to a camera. But wow... things are starting to move and shake and happen in ways that are equally exciting and terrifying if I’m being totally honest. I’m starting to get little glimpses of how God might use me in this space. And it’s honestly overwhelming but I’m leaning in. I’m leaning in because I feel like this is where God’s favor is right now. I don’t know exactly where it’s leading or how it’ll play out, I just know what I feel called to do today. And for me in this season, that looks like showing up, putting one foot in front of the other, letting Him guide me and speak through me. I feel incredibly blessed to be here.
