Just a money grab. Sure for child and teens there should be restrictions, but a lot of that should already fall on the parent(s). Like buying your child a e-bike that goes 35 mph is crazy.

Honestly, it should be common sense to not run a red light. Whether on an e-bike or not. Also, I’m pretty sure the E-bikes were made for recreational use. Not to be driving as transportation.
