Take them to brick lane girl! So many better options than dishoom and independently owned. I know everyone wants to go to dishoom because it's the trendy thing to do but its mid at best .

Forty Dean Street in soho!! Small restaurant but really great Italian food!! Another place is Lemonia in primrose hill! As a Greek American who lived in London for a year this was the most authentic Greek food I had the whole year I was there!!
