I was suspicious the moment I saw the words “to the extent possible” 😭😭

Odds are first message was supposed to go to his boss and accidentally sent it to group chat.

I’ve never had a private conversation with a manager and had them keep it a secret. They always tell the person

It also shows the leadership mentality is shared because if it was a 15 person group chat, there was the ability to keep it anonymous and they chose not to.

I just got into a leadership role at my workplace and genuinely shit like this baffles me. Who talks about an employee that way?

Since it was a screen shot, there was no need to say who sent it. It wasn’t an anecdotal story, they could check it themselves. They own administration of the account. I would get a lawyer asap.

Three of us reported the same boss. One anonymously, another as she was leaving the company bc she was suing, and another wasn't anonymous. Guess who the boss targeted and fired illegally? (Dude got his job back + $$$)

Send that voicemail to HR and request a meeting with HR. Also send it to the boss’s boss. Add a comment that you will be glad to accommodate this voicemail as soon as the lawsuit is filed. Please get back to you to today to determine how you should proceed. Your lawyer was not available until tomorrow so you are willing to work out how they are going to proceed before your netting with your lawyer tomorrow.

Yeah my hr wasn’t any help either. They said talk to your immediate boss about stuff. Oh the boss that said we need to come to him to approve our buys and every time I do that he rolls his eyes?! Oh the boss that laughed at my coworker for crying about being berated by the VP in front of the entire office? Sure I’ll confide in that guy

I hid behind a potted plant in the HR office to talk about the outrageous behavior of my boss, which directly affected my direct reports. She was scary and unstable. HR assured me that the situation would be addressed and my visit to HR would not be mentioned. This persons behavior was known company wide, her daily meltdowns were incredibly public. An hour after talking to HR, my boss locked me in my office and threatened me. Never trust anyone 😒
