It’s so rare to have a mother and father in law, and sister and brother in law, that love you like their own. It’s VERY clear that Ashley’s parents and sister (and her sister’s husband) all loved Caleb, to the point that they didn’t even question his involvement in the immediate aftermath. This man truly had a good life, and he threw it all away for an insecure 20-something year old girl. How sickening to have people fooled to that degree. He was literally making a 6-figure salary because of them (and given how unimpressive Caleb seems, I doubt he would have had that salary anywhere else). This trial is heartbreaking when you think of Ashley and her kind, beautiful family 🥺😭 but I know those 2 girls will grow up surrounded by love, and I’m so glad they have that option, when so many don’t.

My guess is that Caleb chose that date because his FIL would be 16+ hours away and couldn’t immediately be on the scene. He seems like a sharp guy - has a great established business & started questing the situation right away.
