There was a sci-fi book that I read 25 years ago that I believe gave hints to what we are seeing. The book was probably 10-20 years old when I read it. There was a scene in the story where the main character ran into his friend. His friend was basically broke and homeless and asking to borrow a few bucks. Later that day they ran into each other again. But this time the friend was flush with cash. He reversed his situation by making trades. I can’t remember the details or even the name of the book. I can only imagine that he must have made trades using some type of AI and crypto.
