As a server at txrh- the steak temp was likely put in correctly- the kitchen just gave you the wrong steak. Which doesn’t mean it’s ok- but yea js.

as a texas roadhouse server, servers acting like that is one thing bcs even at my location there were ppl like that(guess what the got fired) but as a manager to be rude for no reason is unacceptable. I get if he was trying to stand by his employe because that’s how it should be, but not in the situation where you as a guest get your food order wrong or u just simply don’t like the food, it’s not like your friend ate the whole thing and then asked to take it off the bill. But then also i want to ask, was it busy when to eat there?

As a hostess I’ve seen servers take off food off of the receipt and it doesn’t take 20 minutes, I’ve seen them take food off of the receipt and put something else on the receipt and that also doesn’t take 20 minutes as well.

As a server at a steakhouse we get manager’s approval to take whatever off almost immediately!! The cooks almost never get the temperatures right and us servers usually have to get on them about it all throughout dinner service. I’m sorry you had a bad experience, loved how you guys advocated for each other though.

As a txrh server, if my table doesn’t like their plate and aren’t eating it I’m more than happy to get it taken off!! Or I’m quick to offer them a different option and work with them

go to longhorn if u have one next to you I think it's more expensive but it's so better . I don't really go to steakhouses all too much but Texas Roadhouse food definitely went down in quality.

when u ask to take things off instead of letting the manager do their job, I do not like taking things off! AND NO CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! But on the flip side, if i didnt eat it, I as a manager would have taken it off.
