Dear followers, As you could see in last night's instagram stories, things escalated significantly at Defqon.1. The organization had to make a very difficult decision in which they can never do it right. I just arrived home and am mostly sad. And I am ashamed. I am so ashamed of what (some) fellow warriors caused last night. I am also ashamed for their mothers; how do you raise a son who hits and spits on women (don't worry, I'm okay, I was spat on and hit on my hands) or attacks security guards (who are there for our safety) so they can no longer do their job safely. After the final decision, the music was stopped and the atmosphere turned grim. Was it wise to intervene? Absolutely not. Did I prevent worse at that moment? I hope so. They were screaming

I felt so miserable, purely because of the lack of understanding that some of you treat the equipment of an organization that is powerless in this way As if Q-Dance wanted this? You're making it even worse by wrecking the place. When the bar was evacuated, I went to the campsite because the risk of escalation was only increasing. Once I arrived at the campsite, the atmosphere was fantastic and there was a mini stage every 10 minutes. This was my first camping experience at Defqon and I have to admit I have never experienced such a cool and fun campsite as this one. Thank you, Defqon, for the wonderful Thursday.
