this message is genuinely super important and I kinda hate how little people talk about it. The books are phenomenal warnings about a very possible future, and all most people care about is the games.

the only mistake coin made was telling her plan on using the capitol's children for another hunger games, katniss knew coin is gonna be like snow and the cycle will never end. so she has to go...

This scene is so powerful because it’s when Katniss shows the world that the revolution did not turn her into the Mockingjay. It simply gave a name and a symbol to what she had always been. Her defiance was not theoretical or ideological, it was visceral. She saw injustice, recognized it for what it was, and acted against it almost instinctively.

if you did read the books she knew at that point how snow was and coin would be in the future. she knew after prims death that she needed to gain coins trust. she did vote yes to an symbolic hungergames to earn coins trust. at that point she wanted coin death. she couldnt live with another hunger games.

This is honestly one of my favorite endings, and when I try to explain to people how I hate the government and both sides because they are both corrupt.

The amount of people not understanding this scene is cause they never read the books. If they care about the series they need to go read it.
