@punchlistparker: Stop scrolling if you’re a new Project Engineer or intern sitting in the trailer feeling completely lost right now. ⬇️ When I first stepped into construction management, I had no clue what was actually going on. Whether you’re transitioning from a different trade or fresh out of a college degree, the reality shock is the exact same: you will feel lost at first, and that’s completely normal. Here is the #1 tip for turning that around fast: Get out of the trailer. Roll with the Superintendent: Shadow them on site walks. Pay attention to how they spot safety hazards, coordinate trades, and handle field conflicts before they blow up. Stick with the Foremen & Craft: The guys turning the wrenches and placing the concrete know the job better than anyone. Ask honest questions, respect their trade, and learn how the work actually gets installed. Learn the Field First, Office Second: You can learn RFIs, submittals, and cost codes at your desk—but you can’t build field credibility behind a computer screen. The best Project Engineers aren't the ones who sit in the AC all day—they’re the ones out on the slab building real trust with the crew. Get out there, absorb everything, and roll with the craft. Let’s go. 📈⚡️ Comment PATH below and I’ll send you my complete New PE Field Survival & Onboarding Guide straight to your DMs! 💬 #constructionmanagement #projectengineer #fieldengineer #constructioncareers
