@vandamcnn: Hurricane Polo is in a league of its own. Undergoing “extreme rapid intensification” - marking an increase in winds of 110mph in 24 hours. Satellite imagery paints an astounding picture of its intensity. @CNN #polo #hurricane #extremeweather #elnino #méxico
“In the upper echelon of what is physically possible in the natural world” is an insanely concerning sentence to hear.

If that thing is powerful enough to produce "Gravity Waves" we have bigger problems than just some wind and rain.

Michael Dewberry :
When a hurricane has a well-organized, symmetric stadium-shaped eyewall, it can indicate that the storm has become very efficient at maintaining its circulation. The eyewall thunderstorms are efficiently moving heat and moisture upward, while air sinks in the eye.
That organization can be associated with rapid intensification or a very strong hurricane, although the stadium shape alone doesn’t guarantee strengthening.

it's kinda crazy, because just this morning I was reading an article that said that sea turtles are laying eggs on the west coast for the first time in recorded history 😳 I think we need to be a little more worried about the Pacific Ocean

What he means by upper echelon of what is possible is it’s reaching the physical limit of barometric pressure that earth’s atmosphere will allow.
