I spoke to a old homeless woman once in downtown and she turned out to be from New York trying to find her family that separated from her years ago and moved to Texas, she sadly ended up homeless with a Harvard degree simply because she couldn’t keep up with her bills on time and now she can’t get a job or find her family at all simply because she doesn’t have a house.

When I get rich I’m gonna make a better homeless shelter that just helps people out man we’re all human my father lost himself to drugs and I would wait for him to come on my porch and when when he did I felt disgusted cuz my dad was a “bum” haven’t seen him in 2 years and everyday I wish I could js hug my old man for the first time

It's crazy how everyone shrugs off homeless people. Homeless people had lives too. They had family, they had friends. People just automatically assume poor people are "drug addicts" and it is so sad.
